I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.  Barbie has a unique comedic talent & contagious spirit which is up-lifting to all types of audiences.  I wish I could watch her perform every night!

Hi Barbie
The first time I saw you two on that great commercial I was taken by that beautiful dog. I didn't even know what a Chinese Crested was and have become a devotee since. There is a well known breeder near here - I did contact her but, at the time, my husband was very sick and I was taking care of him (for 8 years) and couldn't take a puppy. I found the Crest Care web site and got accepted to adopt a Crestie from them and got a personal visit from one of their contacts in CT, here. I fell even more in love with the breed seeing one live. Unfortunately, my husband's health worsened and I had to give up the idea of a dog at all. Then I was drawn to Danbury Animal Welfare and fell for the flirty look and crooked smile of a Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross from Pueto Rico, a Sato or street dog. and she is my dream dog. She's Sophie - 120% Jack Russell, 10" tall and 22" long and the kisseyest dog on earth! Sophie would come to the nursing home with me to see my husband and she brought so many smiles to the other residents. She trotted between the wheelchair wheels just like she had done it all her life. Someday I would still like a Crestie but I can only have one pet where I live now. My husband passed away just a year ago and Sophie has been an invaluable companion!

I love your commercial and your relationship with Diva. Also, saw your Dog Whisperer segment. That was a real treat!!. Thank you for introducing this breed to me and to the general public.

How do you get involved in dog fund raising events? Danbury Animal Welfare is a great organization and has been in place since the mid 1970's. I am a volunteer. Please visit them at daws.org. Would you ever consider coming to Connecticut to help our DAWS? We would love it!!! Thanks for reading my "book."

Warm Regards,
Fran Hendrickson
